Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil

Winter is incredibly harsh on skin, which is why Rachel wanted to include a premium skincare product. A longtime fan of Sunday Riley — an independent, female-founded brand based in Texas — Rachel knew the combination of balanced science-based ingredients with botanicals would be the perfect choice. After sampling the full range, she chose the Luna Sleeping overnight retinol oil for its gentle-yet-effective renewing properties. The beautiful bottle and inky-blue appearance (which turns clear once it is rubbed into the skin) only helped bump it to the top of our list. Boasting a combination of hydroxypinacolone retinoate (the active ingredient that powers cell turnover), avocado, grape and chia-seed oils (for hydration), and blue tansy and chamomile to keep redness at bay, the result is naturally plumped, smoothed, glowing skin. What’s more, the formula is cruelty free and devoid of parabens, sulfates and phthalates and traditionally retails for $105.

Editor’s Note: Apply to clean skin before bed. Good for use on all skin types.

Eddie Borgo Soho Watch

The perfect watch is a timeless (pun intended) addition to any ensemble but it is an oft-overlooked accessory. Heading into a new year means starting fresh, and Rachel wanted a piece that embodied that clean slate. As a member of the CFDA, Rachel has always been a fan of the CFDA Swarovski Award Winner, Eddie Borgo, and commissioned him to collaborate on a timepiece for the Box of Style members. Eddie Borgo is a celebrated designer who crafted jewelry for Proenza Schouler and Altuzarra before launching his namesake line in 2008. His eye for architecture and geometric codes translates to elegant, statement pieces. For his first foray into watches, he opted for a woven metal strap and clean, medium face in a romantic rose gold. The result, which retails for $115, is as stunning when worn with office separates as it is with off-duty ensembles. For the holiday season, highlight the piece’s bracelet qualities by wearing with layered rings, bracelets and necklaces to add flair to simple evening outfits.

Editor’s Note: Mix and match with other metals for a thoroughly modern look.

Jules Kae Vegan Leather Tote

A sleek, versatile bag is a necessity year round, but its particularly essential during the busy winter season. From endless gift shopping errands to days spent transitioning between business meetings and cocktail parties to braving the masses for holiday travel, no stylish woman would be caught dead without a roomy, polished tote. Never one to shy away from making a statement, Rachel wanted a style that would stand out from the pack. Instead of traditional black, she opted for a muted blush iteration that can be styled with all manner of outfits including, most importantly, her beloved winter whites. Tapping female-founded brand Jules Kae, the style is constructed from supple, vegan leather. The ample size can handle everything from laptops and notebooks to carry-on essentials, and long shoulder strap means you can easily wear it hands-free. The final flourish on the tote, which retails for $150, is the elegant, braided handle.

Editor’s Note: Annual members will receive a coordinated pouch to keep essentials close at hand.

Luv AJ Marquise Diamond Disc Statement Ring

Combining her love for delicate stacking and statement cocktail rings, Rachel tapped female-led brand Luv AJ to design an exclusive style for Box members this holiday season. Available in either rose or yellow gold (your choice!), the triple-band style is open in the back to allow you to wear it on any finger. Delicate pave stone bands flank the center marquise stone, a trend-forward vintage cut, for refined sparkle that retails for $85. Wear it alone or mix and match with your other favorite styles to elevate casual or evening ensembles.

Editor’s Note: Choose the rose-gold hue to coordinate with the Eddie Borgo Soho Watch.

Amika Velveteen Dream Smoothing Balm

Christopher Patey

Hair takes a beating in the winter months, what with harsh elements, heat styling for rounds of holiday parties and a desire to never leave the house with wet hair. In order to hydrate locks and protect them against frizz, environmental stressors and heat damage, Rachel requested a lightweight leave-in cream that provides flexible hold for any styling sensibilities. Do you prefer to wear your hair in a smooth blowout? Apply a dime-sized dollop to damp hair and style as usual for added hold and shine. In the mood to create glamorous waves? Apply to damp hair to protect then define the finished product with a touch of the styling balm. Heralding from Brooklyn-based inclusive and disruptive beauty brand, Amika, this wonder product is suited to all hair types, smells amazing and retails for $25. Plus its vegetarian-friendly, cruelty-, sulfate-, and phthalate-free and the only colors you’ll find are on the upbeat packaging.

Editor’s Note: Stash in your purse for quick pick-me-ups when transitioning from work to cocktail hour.
